LIBERATED EDUCATORS
COLLABORATIVE

Join like-minded educators in creating liberated learning spaces for students.

Liberated Educators Collaborative, an initiative of Liberation Journeys, is dedicated to fostering educational environments where student voice and racial justice are paramount. We aim to build a community of educators enthusiastic about sharing best practices, innovating from feedback, and promoting liberatory school culture.

Who Should Apply?

We are eager to collaborate with educators who champion racial justice and center student voice in their instructional practices and relationship-building with students. Specifically, we seek high school and middle school teacher leaders and administrators based in Chicago, including those in leadership roles related to classroom instruction and school culture, such as grade-level leads, department chairs, content leads, instructional coaches, and deans of culture.

We encourage applicants with at least five years of experience working in schools as a teacher or administrator and who are dedicated to fostering inclusive learning environments and promoting equity in education to apply. Applicants must be full-time employees of a public or private high school or middle school located within the city of Chicago.
